A good idea. I don't know if you can still find them, but if so it is also a good
idea to keep on hand an Allsop drive cleaning kit. This is just a fake diskette with
a fabric interior, onto which you place a few drops of the alc.-based cleaning
solution, and insert for a couple fake disk "Reads." This can remove some crud that
may have built up on the drive heads. Sometimes the drive has to go, sometimes not.
This can save you from getting to that point, if the drive is not truly failing.
