Use the Watcom C compiler (I think it's now free) rather than the C
compiler that comes in the DDK. From memory it's at
http://www.openwatcom.org/ but I'm not sure (Steven, do you recall?).
There's a book on writing OS/2 drivers, "Writing OS/2 2.1 Device Drivers
in C" by Steven J. Mastrianni. It does an okay job of explaining driver
development, though you'll probably need some additional help to get
your first driver written. Somewhere around here I have a copy.
One thing that I found very helpful was to disassemble some drivers and
"walk through the code".
Driver development is time consuming . . .
