IIRC, you just put a device line in the OS2 config.sys. Pinball.sys
only lets hpfs interpret the ntfs structures so you can read and write
to an NT disk from OS2. The note in your message isn't about
installing pinball, it seems to be referring to installing Windows
programs under ntfs using .reg files, which are often used in
installation programs. .reg files run with regedit to append entries to
the registry, which is sort of a huge win.ini file used since win 95.
Windows developers dump lots of trash there and the file gets quite
large over time. regedit is a utility used to read and edit the registry
file.
