Yep.

Because you told it to use Earthlink's DNS servers. Check out the content
of resolv2.

Somethings scrambled in your resolv files. This should be in resolv2 and
you should be using it. Check resolv and resolv2. This all assumes are
you not going through a router that's overriding all of this.

These are earthlink nameservers. You must be doing something wrong in
TCP/IP configuration or elsewhere.

Yes.

There are two resolv files, resolv and resolv2. Best I can tell resolv is
supposed to be used for dialup and resolv2 for lan, but this does not
always happen consistently. View mptscfg and search on resolv and resolv2
and you can sort of see this explained. To fix your problem make sure
resolv2 contains the nameservers you want, and the verizon domain name for
that matter.
