The snoop list gives rise to no end of problems.  It seems that a lot  
of it will always be irrelevent to your situation, and you can never  
comment out enough of it.  The snoop file is needed during an initial  
install, but why do we need to have it in the mix any time thereafter  
?

I think there was also a version from the CDS site, which was supposed  
 
to correct some timing error when doing a file compare after backup.  
And this may be another example of where you need a smaller version  
of a file, if you want it to fit on a set of emergency boot disks.
