The envelope orientation is controlled by the WP printer driver. At one

You are probably running the printer port in polled mode. Do you have:
BASEDEV=PRINT01.SYS /IRQ
in config.sys?

Use selective install to install the additional fonts. There are also
lots of fonts available on Hobbes, which I believe are public domain.

Probably will not help. When you print from DOS or WinOS2, you are not
using the OS/2 native printer driver.
