Yes, I am saying you can mix and match kernels. With eCS or a SWC
subscription, you are licensed to use any one of the W4 kernels. I'm sure
that for every W4 kernel that's been released, there is some percentage of
folks using it right now, successfully.
You don't want to be using the UNI or SMP kernels for two reasons. You
are not licensed to and they don't work well on non-SMP hardware. UNI
kernels are intended for SMP hardware running a single processor. AIUI,
this is more efficient than running the SMP kernel.
Note, I said these kernels don't work well on non-SMP hardware, not that
they don't work at all.
