Hi, Butch,
I hadn't seen anyone respond to this point, so herewith...
You didn't miss anything. The installation is only concerned with the OS/2
installation partition. Formatting of any additional partitions has to happen
after OS/2 is installed and running. You can do this from the running OS/2
system in a variety of ways. If you are comfortable with a command line and
the FORMAT command, open one up and do it from there. If you would rather use
the GUI, you can select the partition to be formatted from the Drives object in
the WarpCenter (RMB on the desired partition and select "Format..." from the
resulting menu).
