Hi, Butch,
NO, you do not need to find any newer drivers for any of your
listed hardware
except the NIC drivers if you want to have it working from the
begin !
Here attached you'll find the most accurate drivers zipped into
ButchNIC ...
... unzipping you'll get a folder called Floppy and these files
you copy to
a plain diskette. You will need these files as input while you
are setting your
environment (TCPIP, etc.)

You have to set your video, whatever the display says, to VGA !!!
Do your installation with VGA and do install SDD/2 afterwards !!

One more suggestion: You already have the up-to-date Diskettes 1
& 2.
Do not change anything else than the already mentioned 2 settings
!

If you have this part of your installation successfully done and
you are happy ...
... come back again to discuss further steps for adjusting,
updating and
Fixpack. As for Fixpack: I also suggest you to get your WarpUP
FP15 CD-ROM !

Good luck,svobi

Subject: SCOUG-Help: Basic Help

I feel I can now get thru FDISK and into installing Warp 4. I
did have some
problems, I think, because I never got the chance to format any
partititons
except the partition os/2 was going on. I set up the hard drive
with 3
logical partitions after the os/2 partition. Never in the trial
installation was a chance given to format those partitions with
hpfs.
Perhaps I went too fast or just didn't read something carefully.

At any rate, I believe I realize what I must do to get my
hardware to
install correctly. Here is what I have:
Intel EtherExpress Pro/100+ 8460 B PCI Lan Adapter
Sound Blaster Live Value
3DFX Interactive Voodoo3
Cd Rom by Liteon LTN 483
Plextor CD-R PX W1610A
Iiyama Vision Master Pro 410 monitor
Epson Stylus Color 740 (usb)

As I understand it, I must find appropriate os/2 drivers and
install them on
installation disks 1 and 2. Also, I must go into the sys.conf
folder and
edit various lines. The editing information will be provided
where I find
the drivers?
Where will be the best places to locate drivers for above items?

Thanks for your continued support,

Butch Langel
