Hi Butch
you normally have 3 Diskettes for your installation !
The first Diskette is the still unchanged Installation Diskette
(0=Zero)
With the UI exe files you will get accurate Diskette 1 and
Diskette 2
Now you have to check the config.sys on your Diskette2 and add:
set copyfromfloppy=1
reservedriveletter=r
With these entries your installation process will work !
With reservedriveletter=r your CD-ROM will get the letter "S" and
you can adjust to your needs ;-)

I had downloaded the updated installation floppies and tried to
use them
with the first trial installation, but I don't think they got
extracted.
At any rate, during the installation nothing happened when I
pushed "enter"
after inserting the disk #1 into the floppy slot.
I thought I followed the directions at the ibm update page.
