Well,
I was successful in putting in:
set copyfromfloppy=1
reservedriveletter=r
in the config sys file located in diskette 1 that will replace the original
diskette 1.
So, this manuever will allow larger installation partitions? Dumb question,
but I've gotten very confused.
Do I need to make config sys file change like above with diskette #2
replacement ?
Is it recommended to make the boot manager startable primary partition 7 mb,
the bootable primary partition C: 801 mb,
and several other partitions of 5 gigs each ?
Now I edited the #1 replacement diskette using Notepad in Windows 2000. I
made the change, took out the floppy and examined the contents. The change
in the config sys file was there, so I am assuming the change was made.
Now, should installation with replacement floppies be possible?
What else must I do as in terms of fixpacks and updates?
Thanks
Butch Langel
