It's an old 2-port, bi-directional (model # PAS8221), long out of

Both.  Linksys provide a TSR.  I extracted the code to build a one-shot.

If you are thinking about a parallel port scanner, forget it.  There are  
no OS/2 applications that support these.  Other than that, a scanner could  
be switched, just like any other parallel port device.

Rigth.  Several SCOUG members are using printer servers of one sort or  
another hung off their LAN's.
