Rocky's question reminded me of something related. I forget the right nomenclature, but you wind up with (at least) backups of the original files that were changed by FP application, and the last set of files that were replaced by the last FP to be put on, one of which is called "Archive," and one of which is confusingly called something else. These are registered somehow as being there, at the storage location originally designated. We recently ran into a situation where a later FP could not be applied, because those directories had been removed to save some space in that partition. How & where is this file location info
recorded, and how does one go about either changing it, or doing away with the requirement to have it in the first place -- much as the status quo would have been at the time the earliest FP was applied ?
