Actually, they have quite a line of these things, going up to at least 4 ports.
I just bought the most basic model -- F1u123Kit, I think -- for someone.
It is electronic, and has a push button on either side, to allow either of two
computers to share one Parallel device, or one computer to share two devices.
The instructions say it requires no power, and is OS-neutral. But I haven't
tried it out yet.
The model you're referring to is possibly the 127. As you get higher in this
line, the switches have autosensing, but may require some s/w and they seem
to be intended for Windoze. Should be plenty of info on the Belkin website.
