Hello
Yes, today was a good day ;-)

This morning, after Steven's reply, I tried again with RSU ...
... and see: Everthing starts smooth but during the FPinst
process again I got an RC1 !

Checked the log and restarted again !
Some problems with one of an *.msg file !?
OK, I got the message that the previous installation didn't
end properly and I was asked to retry: YES, I did !

This time it worked properly but, checked with IPT, still FP15 !?

Well, I tried the 3rd time !
Well, everthing went perfect and smooth !
Well, IPT also shows FP16 installed now !

Do not ask how and why it was not working yesterday !?
I accessed the same URL's and my system was unchanged.
Also RSU was on most accurate level yesterday before I started !

Now both my similar C: partitions (PROD & TEST environment)
are up to date again ;-)

Steven and Gary, thanks for your assistance & comments !
Now I am ready to prepare for my new server-like P2P HDD and
partition topgraphy.

Good evening,
svobi

If case this has something to do with your problem, the latest
RSU utility was updated
July 30, 2001. Go to
ftp://service.boulder.ibm.com/ps/products/os2/rsu/rsuinstn.exe.
