My ignorance and conservatism is probably showing here, but I distrust these remote  
processes, vs. a local, hands-on process (hopefully) under your own control.  That  
emphatically includes stuff like Symantec Live Update.  Much more that can go wrong, it  
seems to me.  A rock-solid broadband connection might tilt the equation, but even then . .
