Steven,

Because of all this back and forth conversation, I am starting to
remember a few things now. I remember that when I got my new (Windos)
computer 2 years ago, I had to reinstall OS/2 from scratch, using the 3
diskettes and CD-ROM. My BackAgain backup would not work, because the
hardware and BIOS setup was sufficiently different. Only 2 things did
not work right the first time around:

1. I could not use the IBM IDE driver on the diskette

2. My sound and modem cards did not work

Randall Flint of Sundial Systems emailed me the new copy of the IBM
driver with instructions on how to edit the CONFIG.SYS on Diskette 1

During a help desk session at Chapman University, you helped me with the
sound card and modem. I needed a newer version of the COM.SYS driver,
one that allowed sharing of IRQ resources.

I say all this to state that, if Butch uses the newer IDE driver (either
IBM's or Dani's), he will be able to install from his diskettes and
CD-ROM without a problem.
