I've wanted to do this for a long time, but never quite got around to it.
One related thing I like to do is to have discretely named / grouped sections,
with appropriate annotations. (Like those shown below.) Makes the whole
thing more accessible. Unfortunately, I never did this consistently throughout
the file, but still hope to.

If you're at all like me, and have had many many versions of Config.Sys
over the years, it really helps to have some sort of audit trail for what got
changed, & where & when & why. I never got into the Config.Sys database
type programs like TYRA/2, so I tend to leave those REMnants that may
be most useful for later reference, as when troubleshooting stuff in the
Config file.
