This is a feature I'd definitely like, and I'm starting to doubt I can have it from the combination of an Asus P3B-F
(which is about to replace an earlier Asus mb), and my existing 2940U2W + 2940U. With the current mb, there always
was that notice "No SCSI BIOS" during bootup. The question is, 'How do I get this function without having to make
radical changes ?' I selected the replacement mb for specific reasons. Changing the U2W is also not terribly
appealing, but since the slower devices are hung off the 2940U anyway, and that is very much the older card (with a
non-flashable BIOS, I think), it probably could be replaced. Can I choose some later model from Adaptec, which would
provide this feature while continuing to support 4 devices ? Of course, I suppose the BIOS on the P3B-F would
_also_have to offer CD-boot as an option ?
