Not really. This is more a software issue. When you are running in a DOS
VDM window, the driver emulates the video hardware for the session. If
the driver does not provide emulation for the requested mode, the results
are what you see. Of course, you can issue an Alt-Home and switch to full
screen.
Since Michal is lurking on the list, he might be able to offer some
workarounds that might allow SDD to support the text mode the app is
using.
