It actually has two independent channels integrated in a single chip.

There's no way about that, unless there's a command line switch on the
.ADD driver.

You might check if there was a BIOS update.
Frankly, the Actiontec works for a lot of folks with both com.sys and
sio2k.sys. I suspect we are missing something in the problem statement.
Incharge does not care about ports and IRQ's, it just needs to be able to
find the com port.
