Thanks again Steven. It is wonderful to be able again to read and
to respond to e-mail and to surf the web.
For anyone following this thread, my problem turned out to be
very simple: My old eCS was installed at a time when my ISP
was called GTE, so my login ID was GTE/jizba. When I
re-installed eCS, I entered VERIZON/jizba as my login ID.
WRONG; it should be VZ/jizba, and that is the embarrassing
story. However I am also thankful to Steve for installing for me
CHECKINI (which I had but not properly), for upgrading
my DANI drivers, and for possibly other things. Steve types
so fast that it is hard to follow what correction he makes.
