Hi Harry
Your list has 3 differences to my favorites:
1) I do have Filestar to but use EF Commander 2.31
2) ZIPme is a Freeware UNzip GUI but has, due its age, some minus
in behavior
3) DW 1.41 (Desktop Wizard) is a very slim but efficient PGM
against Xworkplace
WarpToo ? WPtools version 3.2 contains an interesting set of
tools, where CheckINI
is best known !
In the web was a homepage with listing all these OS/2 MustHave's
but it seems gone
somewhere ;-( or gone for ever ;-((
I am also having BA/2000 but I am still unsing my Sytos Premium
2.2

Butch,
Recognize that you asked a vvvvvery loaded question.
With regard to computers and software, everyone has his or her
own
personal likes and "absolute best way of doing things."
Therefore, the responses you get will be a little bit
biased by the giver. That being said, here goes.
I am going to break up my list into three (2) categories as
follows:
1. MUST HAVE utilities to properly maintain your system (the
OS2*.INI
files):
A. UniMaint
http://www.filestar.com/
B. Checkini; freeware
http://www.os2ss.com/information/kelder/
C. Cleanini; freeware
http://home.t-online.de/home/C.Arnold/e/
2. SHOULD HAVE utilities to help you maintain your system:
A. Filestar (folder and file management utility)
http://www.filestar.com/
B. Back Again/2000 (backup software); $99.00
http://www.cds-inc.com
C. WarpZip; $29.00
http://www.bmtmicro.com/
D. XWorkplace; freeware
http://www.netlabs.org/
E. WarpIn; freeware
http://www.netlabs.org/
F. Association Editor; freeware
http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/
G. WarpTools; freeware
http://www.os2ss.com/information/kelder/
Well, there's a ton of other stuff I could list. However, the
above is a
good start. There are several good places you can go to to get
good OS/2
software. Some of it freeware, some of it not:
3. OS/2 Software sites:
A. Hobbes; http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/
B. BMT Micro; http://www.bmtmicro.com/
C. OS/2 BBS; http://www.os2bbs.com/
D. Mensys Home; http://www.mensys.nl/indexuk.html
E. Netlabs; http://www.netlabs.org/
Use the search facilities at each site. You will probably find
what you want
