Hi Ben,  
 
Let me take a shot at this.  
 
InJoy is packaged with eCS as default.  Let me assume that he's using that  
to connect.  If not, ignore what follows.  
 
In InJoy, there is a setting for CHAP authentification.  Find it, then  
select each of the CHAP options.  Make sure to "save" it, or the setting  
won't stick.  Then try to connect.
