I've been using WipeOut almost as long as I've used OS/2. I think I bought a license before it became freeware -- can't recall now -- but in any case, I later won a full commercial pkg. of it at a SCOUG raffle. The link Steven pointed you at should get you past that install
peculiarity.

The WipeOut pkg. was *supposed* to include a build-your-own-screensaver kit. (I don't know whether it was supposed to cover JPGs, though.) Anyway, the boxed program I got at the raffle did not have this. Perhaps it was too early a version. The d/l archive on Hobbes etc. does
not seem to have it either. (But you would want the 2.052 update, in any case.) From a brief description I saw somewhere, the procedure for doing this sounded fairly technical. Except for that, it is a feature I truly missed. Later versions of WipeOut were also able to use the
older IBM DeskPic format screensavers, and I still use one of these -- Fireworks -- which is quite lovely.

There was another screensaver, called Blanker (from Germany ?), that later became another product with a different name. I think this one is still shareware, and can't say if it has the roll-your-own capability. Other than that, the only other one I've heard of was a commercial
program called Escape GL, from Snowstorm Software. Also don't know if that one had such a feature.

Circa Win 3.x versions of After Dark (may be called "After Dark Classic") were supposed to work in Win-OS/2, but I did not have much luck with this.

If you find out something re this subject, please let us know.

Jordan
