I have just d/l ghostscript 7.32 beta. The file is:
11-05-02 7:38p 5450033 ghostscript-7.32.tar.gz
I am trying to figure out how to open this file. I know that it is a
tarball, and suspect that I should therefore use some sort of tar
program to do this. I have a version of tar:
2-19-95 4:26p 60520 TAR.EXE
When I try:
tar -xvf ghostscript-7.32.tar.gz
it opens another window, flashes something for about .001 second, then
the window closes, and I'm sitting here feeling stupid.

Can someone give me a clue (preferably detailed) as to how to unpack
this thing?

Thanks!
