Mozilla 0.9.4 won't start. So I used Unisafe to see what would happen
when I tried to delete it so I could install one of the later versions on
the SCOUG September CD.
A window popped up with this information:
>The following non-standard classes are associated with the objects to be >uninstalled/archived: SC Shadow
The window allowed provided three buttons to determine what action
Unimaint would take:
>Yes if you want all of the classes deregistered/archived
>No to be asked about each class.
>Cancel to deregister/archive none of the classe. If cancel is chosen, some classes >may not be deregistered/archived.
I don't want to archive this version of Mozilla and I don't want to remove
any classes associated with other apps. Is the best choice cancel? Would
this be the best choice for all apps that I want to uninstall without
archiving?
What if I want to uninstall and archive some other app and select yes or
no? Is it possible that I will remove some class that is used by other
apps? If so, how do I avoid that situation?
Unmaint also asks if "associated" files should be removed. Is there a way
to find out what these files are and if they are used by other apps? Or
does Unimaint make sure that situation does not occur?
TIA for any advice. If I can find the answers to these questions
somewhere, just point me in the right direction.
Jack
