I don't have experience with this specific printer.  However, my experience is  
that Lexmark comes close to being the Energizer Bunny of printers.  Lexmark  
started life as the IBM Lexington printer/typewriter design and production  
center.  IBM spun them off in 1990 or 1991, as nearly as I can remember.  
 
I purchased an IBM 4019E printer in late 1989 and retired it in early 2001  
because supplies were getting impossible to find, and because I could purchase  
a new printer for the price of a replacement cartridge.  The 4019 was the  
genesis of the Lexmark 40xx printer series, and they have always been totally  
solid.  Incidentally, I replaced my 4019 with a Lexmark Optra E312, which has  
been giving perfect service for the past fifteen months.  
 
The price you mention is very good and if I were in the market for a new  
printer, I would certainly give this one serious thought.
