Butch,

If I were you, I would use the OS/2 Enhanced Editor to edit the
CONFIG.SYS file and not the OS/2 System Editor. Here's my reasoning on
this:

The CONFIG.SYS has several long lines in it (like the path statement).
While editing, you want to maintain the integrity of each individual
line (do not inadvertently mix 2 or more lines together, because you
used the Delete Key when you shouldn't, etc).

If you use the System Editor, some of your long CONFIG.SYS lines will
occupy 2 or more lines in the editor window. Long lines appear as word
wrapped. The amount of wrapping depends on the horizontal size of the
editor window. If the window is small, 1 line will wrap into several
lines. If the window is larger, that line will wrap only once or twice.
Etc.

If you use the Enhanced Editor, each line truly takes up 1 line. There
is a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom, which you can use to fully see
the long lines.

So..., if I were you, I would do the following:

1. Make a copy of your CONFIG.SYS file, now as it presently is. If you
make a mistake during your editing, or if your edited file results in a
system lockup (previously discussed), you can go back to the copied
CONFIG.SYS

2. Go to the Enhanced Editor. I believe that you will find it in the
"Utilities" folder, which is in the "OS/2 System" folder on your
desktop. Do not quote me on this! People often move around various
programs on their desktop. Anyway, if you cannot find it in a desktop
folder, go to the "OS2\APPS" directory on your boot partition. You will
find it there. It's the "EPM.EXE" file.

3. Open the editor. Go "Options" in the Main Menu. Select "Preferences"
then "Stream Editing" (make sure there is a little mark to the left of
stream editing)

4. Load the CONFIG.SYS into the editor, using "File", "Open" and "File
List...,"

5. Find the portion of the CONFIG.SYS that pertains to the RSJ
installation. Usually, new installations will be added at the end, or
perhaps near the end, of the CONFIG.SYS file

6. Perform the editing as instructed by RSJ Software

7. Reboot on your newly edited CONFIG.SYS file (I assume you have to
reboot)

Good luck!
HCM
