After talking with StevenL on Scoug-help chat tonight, I came home intent
in trying all that Steven told me to do. I started boot, hit alt-F1 at
the right time and got a list of choices. Using the command prompt
resulted again in scrolling pages full of c prompts. Upon alt-F1 a second
time, I tried the #1 choice at the bottom of the page that indicated the
use of the initial config.sys at boot time., which is essentially what
Steven was going to have me do with the boot diskettes. Eureka, the
system booted. Lots of stuff missing, but I know it must be somewhere.
For tonight, I will quit while I am ahead.
Now to restore programs and uninstall RSJ so I can install it properly. It
aint easy being a dufuss, it takes an abundant amount of unconcentrated
effort.
