Was it Howard who, at the meeting, was regaling me with the supposedly
great advantages of using Opera ? Afterwards, I installed it into eCS
from the Sept. SCOUG cd. This browser is different, and it still
looks interesting. But when I tried to save a couple of very standard
changes in Opera's preferences, it locked up eCS so tight that even
the C-A-D process killer was useless, and I had to hardware Reset. 15
minute coffee break while various dirty partition flags get reset by
CHKDSK. Some great program, this ! (Yeah, I realize it's a beta.)
The last time I tried Opera was well back in its 16-bit beta, runs
only under Win-OS2 days. If this happens again, I'll have to scrub it
off the system, and it may be another 3 years before I try it again.
