Hi Sandy,
that's a known problem with some newer versions of Acrobat files !

OS/2 is still using Acrobat V 3.0 ...
... where WINxx are using V 5.0 !!!

The newer versions are showing exact the described black
shattering on screen ...
... printing would be the same result ;-(

I believe there is no way to get solved with OS/2 except a newer
version from Adobe ?!?

I can't remember specifically now (next time I'll take notes),
but the
document opens with large black boxes scattered thru it, and I
get an
error message of some kind. Then when I print, it hangs for a
long time,
and sometimes prints and sometimes crashes. I can download
something again
to try if it would helpful to know more exactly what is happening.
