We appear to be writing with different brands of English. Are you saying
that the folder c:\os2\archives\current containts only two files:

autoexec.bat
startup.cmd

Anything is possible, but it's not supposed to work this way.

FWIW, when you are reporting information like this, it's very important to
proofread your work and try to avoid typos and statements that are
unclear. The differences often do matter.

Try this with ZtBold:

- Position the cursor to the root of the C: drive.
- Press Esc
- Type L to log
- Press the F2 key until the Method reads Full
- Press C to select drive C
- Wait for log to finish
- Type F to set a filespec
- Type config.sys and press Enter
- Press B to select branch view
- Press Alt-F3 repeatedly until the display show both the
file dates and sizes

You should see several config.sys files listed. Write down the the
pathname, size and date of each one. You see the path by moving the
cursor from file to file. The path is displayed on the first line and
will change as you move the cursor. I'm expecting a list of at least 3
files.

This all presumes that you are booting from drive C:, which is what I
recall to be the case.

Steven
