If you are responding to someone asking for help who
may not be a member of this list, be sure to use the
REPLY TO ALL feature of your email program.

OK, it's your choice. Certainly, Steven's way is bullet-proof in that it
will get your system back. The only problem is that you will be using
your first CONFIG.SYS, which will be muchly out of date. You will have
to bit-by-bit slowly restore your system, adding programs, etc., to
where get it where you had it just before installing RSJ. That will be
time consuming.

There's an easier way, I believe. Regardless, it is ESSENTIAL that the
next time, BEFORE you install anything you tuck away somewhere copies of
the following files:

C:\CONFIG.SYS
C:\OS2\OS2.INI
C:\OS2\OS2SYS.INI
C:\DESKTOP\*.* (all the files in the desktop folders)

(Above, I assume that your OS/2 boot partition is C:\; if it is not,
substitute what you have into what I wrote, above)

Finally, you should have a way of easily restoring these files, should
something go wrong on the reboot after an installation. Some people use
an OS/2 maintenance partition on their system. Some people boot from a
set of "OS/2 Utility Boot Diskettes". Whatever way works best for you.

Do all of the above, each time, and you will have hassle-free
installations!

Good luck!
