Unimaint always puts them where they belong.  I'm sure you can write 
scripts that work at least as well.

I don't recall that it does.  You can get almost full paths by zip from 
the root directory: 
  cd \ 
  zip -S bkup \os2\system\os2*.ini 
Of course, you still have to remember to unzip from the root of the 
correct drive.
