Hello everbody
the recent discussion of U320 SCSI drivers for OS/2 remembered =
me of an open task ;-)
All our systems are having identical Adaptec's AHA-2940AU units =
except one which is not an AHA-2940AU (without AU and really elder) !!
I would like to replace this single elder unit with something more
moderate.
My considerations are going to Adaptec's AHA-29160 resp. 39160 or =
something similar i.e. from LSi !?
On the system for this SCSI adapter are used:
a SCSI scanner (external / fix)
a Nakamichi 5 Disk CD-ROM Mini Changer MJ-5.16 (internal)
a Fujitsu GigaMO 3 1/2" drive (internal)
a SCSI (II) HDD
What specific SCSI adapter shall I choose ?
Where do I get accurate and maintained OS/2 drivers for this specific
adapter ?
Are HDD data from Adaptec controlled units compatible with this
specific one ?
I may have forgotten something important to consider here !?
Your advice, hints and suggestions are well apreciated !
Thanks in advance for your assistance ;-)
Kind regards, svobi
