A resonable conclusion.  They do.  In fact, there's even more settings  
available.  The settings screens are pretty full.

It worked for me.  I upgraded the drives first.  Even running at ultra  
speeds, the performance bump was noticable.  The bump when going from UW  
to U160 was very noticable.
