According to http://www.aim.com/tango/index.adp

Now you can send instant messages between
AIM/AOL and ICQ. Please join us in testing out
this new capability. In order to use this feature,
you must have one or more of the following
clients:

AIM for Windows v5.1 or newer
 AIM for Mac 4.6.b1.1131 (beta)
AOL 8.0+ or newer (AOL Members can get the latest version of
AOL from KW: Upgrade)
 ICQ Lite
 ICQ for Mac
 ICQ2Go

Now, it's not entirely clear that if you're on the ICQ end of an inteded AIM
<-> ICQ whether you needed to have one of these ICQ clients. When I originally
read it, I took it to mean that AIM > v5.1 was interoperable with ICQ. Now that
I read it again, they may be saying something else. They may be saying that you
need to have one of these ICQ clients for them to be truly interoperable. Since
they say to have the capability, you need "one or more" of the clients and if
you have the proper Win client, you can talk to your ICQ buddies, I assume this
means any ICQ buddy. So, shouldn't any ICQ client be interoperable with ICQ?

Do you interpret this differently? Are there any definitive answers?
