Hi Sandy & Steven
Your DHCPSTRT discussion remembered me to my happenings with =
my 1st time Wireless connect with my new T30 and OS/2 MCP 4.52 !
My TCP is set like following:
LAN0 is the conventional Ethernet RJ-45 cable to my router
LAN1 is the built-in WL Intersil Prism 2.5 =
Both the MACS drivers are loaded but with TCPCFG2 I do set the =
respectively LAN active or inactive.
Normally at home in my little NW environment everthing is well set =
and working with LAN0 activated and LAN1 inactivated.
Being abroad and trying the WL connect I am changing to LAN0 =
being inactive and LAN1 as active !
With my deeper checks of what has been changing I noticed that =
there were quite many changes i.e.:
- domain name
- DNS TCPIP addresses
Going back to the default LAN0 environment I needed to reset =
everthing new ;-(
How and why comes and are there some hints and suggestions =
to get these swaps between wired or wireless more easily ???
TIA for your assistance and suggestions and a =
Happy New Year =
svobi
