I'm not sure what you mean by "I suspect there's something wrong with the e.exe
resources. Usually the fix to reapply the resource updates."?

IAC, copying E.EXE from my ThinkPad did not clear the problem up.

Do you think my CONFIG.SYS has something to do with it? The PATH statement is 268
bytes long or so. I will attach my CONFIG.SYS.
