This is strange. There's got to be a conflict somewhere but it's going to
take some hunting to track it down.

What I recommend you do so that you can continue testing is install 1.6b
to the test directory and run it with a script like that shown at:

<http://www.os2bbs.com/os2news/Warpzilla.html>

Be sure to undefine both MOZILLA_HOME and MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH within the
script. Assuming you install to J:\TMP\MOZILLA, the script will look
something like:

J:
CD \TMP\MOZILLA
SET PATH=J:\TMP\MOZILLA;%PATH%
SET BEGINLIBPATH=J:\TMP\MOZILLA
SET MOZILLA_HOME=
SET MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH=
MOZILLA

This will prevent your 1.6b testing from attempting to access your working
v1.4x.

Once you get this set up and failing, we can trace down the failure
without the need for continued install/uninstall cycles.

If you don't have a copy of:

<http://home.earthlink.net/~steve53/betas/pmdll29beta3.zip>

grab one. We will need it for testing.

Also, review:

<http://home.earthlink.net/~steve53/os2diags/TraceRef.txt>

and make sure you have the prerequisite files.

Regards,

Steven
