I'm sure something happens. Try to describe exactly what you do and what
happens. You might just be pressing the wrong keys.

I probably was when he sent it. There's no way to know if it got
corrupted in transit. I'm not saying it did. I'm just saying you can't
tell yet.

This is normal. You have not associated mp3 files with Z. You got the
default association which work as you noticed.
To change this, open up the Z Program Object properties notebook, click on
the Associations tabs and set the association. Click on the Help button
if its not obvious what to type where.
Henk Kelder's Association Editor can be used to do this as well.
