The NIF is only used when you run MPTS. It determines some the
protocol.ini settings. All you really need to copy is the driver, but
copy them both in case you need to run MPTS in the future.

I'm not sure what you did. It appears that you have backleveled to the MCP
version and have lost the GUI modifications done for eCS. I'm not quite
sure if there is a documented method to reinstall the eCS version.
Probably all that's needed is to copy copy MPTS.EXE off CD#1.
