Well, I read Mr. Know-it-all article about iptrace. So I did the
following:
1. Connected to my ISP through the Anaheim phone (This time
I am using eCS 1.1)
2. click on Mail and Newsgroups
3. Select subscribe from File pull down menu
4. Waited until the "Timed out" message came in
5. Opened the command window and went to \mptm\bin
6. entered iptrace and got the following messages
ppp0:[0.000]: process_pkt: len=33 type=24
this line was repeated many times with different numbers
in the brackets. Also there were several lines:
l0:[ 0.003]: Dest 127.0.0.1 Source 127.0.0.1
7. As there did not seem an end of these lines, I closed the
command window, reopened it and after getting back to
\mptn\bin entered ipformat >iptrace>txt
nothing happened
Where do I go from here?
BACK IN eCS 1.0
When I tried to send the above message I got a message
telling me that I was trying to use an outdated system.
The message directed me to:
http://onlinehelp.verizon.net/default.asp?problem=1944
That site asked me whether I was using dial up and
the state (California). nothing else. Pressing GO just
took me back to state whether I was using dial up
and to give the state.
What a runaround!
