If you are responding to someone asking for help who
may not be a member of this list, be sure to use the
REPLY TO ALL feature of your email program.

(Again I am in eCS 1.1 Steve. I can't use your message
to refresh your memory because it is on my eCS 1.0
listing of messages)
I did what you suggested. I prepared the command
prompt window to:
C:\mptn\bin\iptrace
but did not press enter. Then I went to the mail and
messages window and in the file pull down menu
clicked on subscribe. Within less than 5 seconds I went
back to the command window and pressed enter.
The messages from iptrace were identical to the ones
described earlier, except that the lo: line appeared after only
two of the ppp0: lines. When I issued the following message:
C:\mptn\bin\ipformat >iptrace.dmp
the response was another prompt:
C:\mptn\bin\

phone line which I KNOW works)
------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I am back in eCS 1.0. When I tried to send the
above message in 1.1 it would not transmit. Instead
I received the following message:
"An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server
responded: Your e-mail program is using outdated
settings that no longer work when connecting to
verizon.net To update your program please visit:
http://onlinehelp.verizon.net/default.asp?problem=1944
Please check the message recipients and try again"
P.S. the problem is NOT in the dialer. It could be
in the preferences, but I believe that I set those pretty
much the same in 1.1 as I currently have in 1.0.
