It the machine is stable, I wouldn't do anything more that driver updates  
for new hardware, unless you want to play.

It's safe, but there's really nothing to apply other than drivers and

You might want to discuss how it failed.  There may be workarounds.

It's still dicey.  It's an option with lots of variables which means lots  
of opportunity for failures.
