Subject: SCOUG-Help: Make file and print sharing work on OS/2 box

Content Type: text/plain

If you are responding to someone asking for help who
may not be a member of this list, be sure to use the
REPLY TO ALL feature of your email program.

Steven,

All went as you outlined except that UPE.1 does not exist on the cd. There is a UPE.2 so I used it instead.

logon /v:local did start the Requester (it would never run before) and I got a "logged on" return from my use of USERID and PASSWORD. "Ken's OS/2 machine" does now appear as a box on the netword at the XP host of the lan.

So now I guess I just look up my instructions on how to setup and use file and print sharing and I should be home.

Thanks for your help far above and beyond anything any of us can expect from participants out there in the ether. This ends almost a year of frustration.

Ken
