Not quite true. Try renaming it and try to boot. It is correct to say
that you don't need SNP drivers for hardware you don't have.

What is also true is that most of the hardware the the Warp4 SNPs were
written for now resides in various landfills and that the associated SNPs
are no longer useful on the vast majority of systems. IBM has address
this in MCP. Take a look at the eCS SNOOP.LST. It is much smaller,
although it still contains SNPs that will hang some systems.
