Not even close. The window.sidebar.addPanel() function call apparently
only works from a sidebar. I tried searching for the best-guess
"window.addPanel()" function but no luck, and then I ran out of time.
I can write the pseudo-code, I just can't yet write the JavaScript. My
JavaScript books are in L.A. and I'm not, so this project goes into the
"unfinished" folder (my MY that folder is getting big).
I *did* learn from visiting a number of JavaScript web sites that
Microsoft created its own version of JavaScript for its Internet
Explorer browser, and the Microsoft version isn't compatible with the
Netscape/Mozilla version. Thus it's tricky finding good code examples
because many sites don't say which browser their example code will run
on. And the Justice Department didn't think these guys were trying to
create a monopoly?!? Oh, forgive me -- they DID think so, they just
didn't care.
