Yeah, that's why I have this expectation that I can do it too. But
you're dealing with a Duckbrain here. Or maybe it's my Duckmeister 701
["in" joke, it's an IBM model number] motherboard.

Good thinking. I just printed a Mesa 2 spreadsheet, then dragged some
different fonts into some of the cells and printed again.
This works fine. The different fonts all print where they're supposed
to.

Apparently, then, my problem is with either
-- 1. How my EPM is set up, or
-- 2. How I'm using EPM.
What list or newsgroup has the EPM experts? I'll move my problem over
to there.
